EM: effective microorganism

what does EM mean?

conceived by Professor Teruo Higa, a distinguished Japanese agronomist and microbiologist, EM represents a blend of diverse probiotic microbial strains. these organisms are entirely natural, untouched by genetic modification. over the past 40 years, their application has showcased an exceptional capacity to rejuvenate all soil types through harmonious collaboration with plant life.

within this blend, various groups of microorganisms, encompassing lactic acid bacteria, yeasts, photosynthetic bacteria, and fermentative fungi, orchestrate potent anabolic processes. these processes give rise to the synthesis of new organic molecules, including nitrogen fixation, phosphorus solubilization, and the antagonism against phytopathogens.

EM operates as authentic catalysts, proficient in expediting the intricate biogeochemical processes within the soil. their impact is so formidable that within a mere 2-3 years, they accomplish what nature would typically require three decades to achieve. the overarching aim is the enhancement of soil vitality.
